Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Deadly Car Crash
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been released from care, officials in Lagos confirmed on Wednesday evening. The fighter was involved in a car accident near Lagos on the 29th of December, a horrific crash that claimed the lives of two of his close associates.
Healing from Light Wounds
The sports star had been receiving medical attention while healing from his light wounds, representatives stated earlier on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on X that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to leave and heal privately.
“Joshua and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two friends who passed away as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the official remarked.
Honoring the Deceased
The two men who died were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. Omotoso added that the athlete was heartbroken and deeply emotional over the loss of his two trusted companions.”
