Former BBC Consultants Undergo Parliamentary Inquiry Following Assertions of Bias in Unauthorized Document

She opens by offering background to the disclosed document prepared by Michael Prescott and printed in a daily publication.

"I don't want the British Broadcasting Corporation leaning this way or that way, I simply desire it balanced, impartial and fair," he says.

Upon being questioned whether he considers the BBC is institutionally biased, the adviser answers: "No I don't. It is important to note, a great deal the British Broadcasting Corporation creates is exceptional - both informative and entertainment content."

However, he continues: "There remains real work that requires attention at the British Broadcasting Corporation."

Another former external BBC adviser interviewed by the panel, Caroline Daniel, remarks she takes the BBC very seriously and that it maintains a "continuous process and lively discussion" on fluid and multifaceted subjects.

"Was the BBC ready to engage in a genuine dialogue and debate and act accordingly?" she reflects. "As I see it, indeed, they were."
