An Palestinian-American youth who spent 270 days in Israeli detention without being charged gained freedom.

Mohammed Ibrahim was fifteen years old at the time of his arrest in February throughout the West Bank territory, where he was visiting while residing in Florida accused of stone-throwing at Jewish settlers, allegations he repeatedly contested.

American diplomatic officials said it welcomed Mohammed's liberation.

Mohammed, now 16, was taken to hospital for treatment immediately after release, family members reported.

They said he is showing signs of malnutrition, and is suffering from conditions acquired while detained.

In a statement, the youth's uncle expressed the family's "tremendous relief".

Zeyad Kadur described how relatives endured "living a horrific and endless nightmare" throughout the past nine months.

"Currently, we're concentrating on ensuring Mohammed receives the immediate medical attention he needs after being subjected to harsh conditions and cruel circumstances over several months."

The state department announced ongoing to extend consular services to the teenager's relatives.

{"American leadership considers paramount to the protection and welfare of American nationals"," it added.

Several congressional representatives endorsed a document to diplomatic officials and President Donald Trump, urging greater action to secure his release.

Mohammed's parent, with four children who runs an ice cream business based in Tampa, previously said his son only confessed to throwing stones due to physical abuse.

There were no visits or communicated with his son since February, and only heard what had happened to him in detention through court documents.

The teenager remained lacking indictment in Ofer prison in the West Bank.

The facility also contains adult prisoners, some of whom have been convicted of serious terrorism offences including killings.

An estimated several hundred young Palestinian detainees detained within Israeli facilities, according to the Israeli Prison Service.

Many have never been charged along with monitoring agencies, as well as the United Nations, document cases involving abuse and torture.

Subsequent to his liberation, family representatives announced they would maintain their efforts seeking justice for their relative Sayfollah Musallet.

The 20-year-old dual US citizen according to health authorities was beaten to death by radical settlers during a confrontation in July.

Initially, the Israeli military said officials were investigating reports a Palestinian civilian was deceased.

Both young men were employed together at their family's ice cream business based in Florida.

No indictments occurred regarding Sayfollah's death.

"We anticipate United States leadership to ensure our family's safety," the uncle stated.
