Plane Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Land in UK Because of Crack in Windshield
An aircraft transporting Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an emergency landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an official statement which stated that all passengers were secure.
"The aircraft landed following standard protocol and all individuals on the flight, among them Pete Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson said in a public statement.
The secretary was coming back from a short visit to Brussels at the time.
This incident isn't the first time that a American defense plane ferrying a senior official has suffered mechanical issues.
Months ago, a American military jet transporting Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was required to return to Washington DC after suffering a mechanical fault.
