Rob Edwards and O'Neil Included in Wolves Head Coach Candidates

Rob Edwards along with O'Neil represent the initial candidates under consideration to replace the former manager as manager of Wolves.

Pereira was dismissed on Sunday following the squad's 10-match winless start to the Premier League campaign.

Furthermore Edwards and O'Neil - each of whom have historic links to the team - are part of the names to be evaluated by the Wolves leadership.

Edwards is presently at another club, which would create a possible hurdle to his hiring at Wolves' stadium.

Nevertheless the ex- Luton Town head coach - who made more than 100 of appearances for Wolves during his playing career - is considered a strong candidate for the vacancy.

The 42-year-old is reportedly enjoys support from the Wolves directors as they begin the search of appointing a fresh manager.

O'Neil is also appearing as a surprise candidate, even though he would be a shock choice considering he was sacked by the club in December last year.

The ex- West Ham player is currently unemployed meaning the club would not be required to pay any compensation.
