The Liverpool striker, who has been sidelined from late October due to a groin problem, was selected for World Cup qualifying matches against Switzerland (15 November) plus Slovenia (18 November)

Potter's Appointment
Potter took over by Sweden initially temporarily in late October, less than four weeks after leaving by West Ham
Previous coach the Danish coach lost his job following Sweden's 1-0 loss against Kosovo on 13 October, an outcome which rendered automatic qualification from their World Cup group impossible

The Swedish team are currently last place of Group B having just a single point in four matches
Should they fail to secure second place, they could still take part in the secondary qualification as a result of their performance during the previous UEFA competition
