The children's author David Walliams dropped by publishing house.
Prolific children's author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
A representative for the publisher stated: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the decision was reached following an inquiry regarding allegations of questionable actions towards female individuals.
The company did not confirm the reasons for its decision, noting: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
A Prolific Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies internationally in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
He has published more than 40 books altogether, which features a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
From Screen to Page
He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
