The Initial Game Pass Games of 2026 Demonstrate Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.

In numerous discussions, fans keep sounding the death bells for Microsoft's gaming division. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a lesser-known competitor. Platform-specific outlets are now publishing content about PlayStation as a new development. Last year proved to be complete chaos for the Xbox ecosystem. However, judging purely by the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it is apparent that Xbox remains determined to attract subscribers with strong games on its flagship service.

The Immediate Additions

The duo of games you can play right now today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's worth getting excited about.

Major Titles on the Horizon

Starting January 13th, the platform will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that deviates from typical Ubisoft design with a cosmic robbery tale. A further major acquisition is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, hailed in past assessments as "an ideal blend of horror and action."

Noteworthy Smaller Games

But even the smaller games coming to Game Pass soon deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike offering thrilling gameplay, becomes available next week — and you should try it even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.

This UK-developed survival title from last year may draw you in in about 15 minutes flat.

Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.

A Robust Selection of Games

In summary, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, and they don't represent first-party juggernauts that are the sole reason for the service by themselves. Yet, this selection are exceptionally strong. The lineup provides a solid mix of older titles you may have skipped and new-ish games that didn't get the attention they deserved the first time around — rendering them perfect candidates to experience a revival on Game Pass.

Hope you're ready to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
